Pregătirea:
Avoid sexual contact 24–48 hours before the examination. Do not use: vaginal ovules, creams, ointments; intravaginal washes or antiseptic solutions, in the 48 hours prior to the examination. On the day of the examination, perform the external local toilet only with water and mild soap, without disinfectants or perfumed intimate gels. The examination is not performed during menstruation; it is recommended to schedule an appointment 3–5 days after the end of the menstrual cycle. If you have previous relevant results (Pap smear, HPV tests, biopsies, etc. ), bring them with you to the consultation. If you are undergoing local or general gynecological treatment, inform the doctor before the procedure. Other recommendations: No fasting or general special preparation is required.
