Pregătirea:
On the day of the consultation, perform normal nasal and oral hygiene (with water and soap/toothpaste). Do not use nasal, ear or throat drops or sprays for at least 6 hours before your consultation (unless your doctor has told you otherwise). If you have earwax plugs, don't try to remove them yourself at home — your doctor will do it safely. You can eat normally before the consultation. Avoid smoking, chewing gum and very cold or hot drinks 2-3 hours before, so as not to irritate the mucous membrane of the throat. Tell your doctor about all recent medications, supplements, and treatments (including antibiotics, antihistamines, decongestants). If you are on chronic treatment, continue it as recommended by your doctor. Bring with you: the results of previous analyzes and investigations (audiogram, tympanogram, x-rays, CT, MRI, cultures, etc. ); medical letters or treatment sheets from previous consultations. For children: Make sure the little one is rested and has had a light meal before the consultation. Explain briefly, calmly, that the doctor will only look in the ears, nose and throat to help him feel comfortable.
