Pregătirea:
Before the operation, the doctor will recommend: blood tests (hemogram, coagulogram, blood sugar, liver and kidney function); ECG and, if necessary, cardiological consultation; eventual anesthesia consultation. Bring all test results and medical records. On the day of the intervention, you must not eat: do not eat solid food 8 hours before; do not drink liquids (not even water) for at least 4 hours before. 24 hours before, avoid alcohol, excess coffee and heavy meals. 7–10 days before, stop anticoagulant drugs, aspirin, anti-inflammatories, and blood-thinning supplements (omega-3, ginkgo biloba, vitamin E) — only as directed by your doctor. Tell your doctor about all chronic medications (for blood pressure, thyroid, diabetes, etc. ); these can be adjusted before surgery. Do not stop treatments without the consent of the attending physician. Stop smoking at least 2 weeks before the procedure — nicotine affects wound healing. On the morning of surgery, shower thoroughly with antibacterial soap and water. Do not apply creams, lotions, deodorants or make-up. Wear loose, cotton clothing and no jewelry, nail polish, or extensions.
