Digital trichoscopy is a modern, non-invasive method for examining the condition of the scalp and hair using a digital microscope. The procedure allows visualization of hair follicles, assessment of hair density, thickness, and condition, detection of signs of hair thinning or weakening, and helps select the most appropriate care and treatment methods.
Indications
- Thin, sparse, or weakened hair
- Increased hair shedding
- Androgenetic or diffuse alopecia
- Problematic scalp (dryness, seborrhea, dandruff)
- Monitoring the effectiveness of hair and scalp treatment
Procedure
- The specialist examines the scalp and hair using a digital microscope and obtains detailed images for analysis
- Procedure duration: approximately 20–30 minutes
- After the procedure, the patient receives results and recommendations for care or treatment
- Repeat examinations can be performed to monitor progress
Contraindications
- Acute inflammatory processes of the scalp
- Open wounds or skin lesions in the area to be examined
- Allergic reactions to materials used for scalp preparation
